Guapulo Colonial Church and Convent is a historic colonial monastery and pilgrimage site located just outside the city of Quito, Ecuador. This church houses a famous sculpture called Our Lady of Guadalupe in Spain, which was carved by renowned Spanish sculptor Diego de Robles in the second half of the seventeenth century. It is one of the oldest religious sanctuaries in Ecuador, and has been rebuilt several times. The town of Guapulo is also known as a bohemian retreat for artists, and contains many galleries and cafes along its cobblestone avenues.
