The peninsula in False Creek across from Downtown Vancouver has been redeveloped into the lively shopping, dining and entertainment complex it is today beginning in the late 1970s from a 37-acre industrial site that was created in 1915. Granville Island has a large farmers market, boutiques, waterfront restaurants, art galleries and studios, theaters, cafes and street performers. Granville Island Brewing Co., now owned by Molson, originated on the island and offers tours and beer-tasting.

I took this trip with my sister, and we both appreciated not having to navigate between stops. I had been looking forward to the national park route; in the end, the national park route became an unexpected favorite. The trip covered a lot of ground, and the organized transportation removed much of the stress. We compared notes with other travelers at dinner and ended up sharing several favorite moments. I would book a similar route again, especially with family or friends.

3-Day Vancouver City Stay Tour Package: English Bay, Stanley Park and Granville Island

I especially appreciated the panoramic city view from the lookout tower — totally worth it. The group was easygoing, and the hotel location made it easy to explore at night after guided touring. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick Vancouver experience.

Wll-organized tour

This is a 5.5-hour tour of several features on Vancouver's "North Shore." (North Vancouver). The tour guide Megan was *fantastic* -- very well-informed, responsive to guests' questions and interests, with a lovely friendly nature. The tour might be considered a "sampler" because there's plenty of things to do with more time at each stop -- but this was very well-organized and exactly as advertised.

We had to leave the tour early to catch a plane. The tour guides had another bus come out to pick us up. Unbelievable service. We were so thankful they could help us.
