Accepted Answer

Yes, Fatehpur Sikri Fort is open on Fridays. It is open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The site remains accessible throughout the week, including public holidays. For the best experience, visit early morning or late afternoon to avoid heat and crowds. Entry is timed, so plan accordingly.

Question 2

What is the fastest way to reach Fatehpur Sikri Fort from Agra Cantt Railway Station?

Accepted Answer

The fastest way is by hiring a taxi or auto-rickshaw, taking approximately 40–50 minutes via the Agra–Lucknow Expressway. Shared autos are cheaper but may have delays. Prepaid taxis are recommended to avoid overcharging. Public buses are available but less reliable for time-sensitive travelers.

Question 3

Is there a combined ticket for Fatehpur Sikri Fort and other Agra monuments like the Taj Mahal?

Accepted Answer

No, there is no official combined ticket. Entry to Fatehpur Sikri Fort is separate: ₹50 for Indians, ₹610 for foreigners. Agra’s ASI monuments offer a separate composite ticket (₹1,100 for foreigners) covering Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Itmad-ud-Daulah, but not Fatehpur Sikri.

Accepted Answer

Yes, government-authorized guides are available at the entrance and can be identified by their ID badges. Charges typically range from ₹200–₹400 for a full tour. Hiring an official guide ensures accurate historical insights and compliance with ASI regulations. Pre-booking via ASI website is also an option.
