What better way to see Sedona, AZ than with this introductory tour of the red rocks. Travel up in elevation on Pink Jeep Tours’ Scenic Rim Tour for a rugged and bumpy adventure that takes you through one of the most beautiful cities of the U.S. and onto the red rock trails for a one of a kind adventure sure to leave lasting memories. This tour climbs Schnebly Hill Road through Bear Wallow Canyon where you are surrounded by towering rock formations. All the while, you’ll hear stories about how Sedona got its name as well as learning about the Schnebly’s. You’ll see the Munds Wagon Trail once used during pioneer days to carry Sedona’s local produce up to the mountain town of Flagstaff. You’ll even learn the names of all those lush trees and spiky plants along the roads. Your guide is not only an expert driver but also a great storyteller on Sedona’s history, wildlife and geology. Children under the age of 5 must be restrained in a car seat according to Arizona law. We do not recommend our tours for children under 18 months old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

It is customary to tip the guide, especially when they provide you with exceptional service. Gratuity is based on individual preference but we suggest 15%, which is industry standard. You may tip the guide in cash or have it added to your credit card.

Although our tours are intimate due to vehicle size (max of 6-9 people) there will likely be other guests on the tour.

Our tours do not require hiking, although they do have picture stops where you will be getting out of the vehicle and doing short walks possibly on uneven terrain.

Dress in clothing comfortable for being outdoors, keeping in mind that since we are in the southwest it is recommended to wear sun protection including hats and sunscreen year round. We ask that you wear closed toed shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain and bring bottled water. Don’t forget to bring a camera!

Tripods and backpacks are allowed on this tour, however there is no storage space in our vehicles. Anything you bring needs to fit comfortably in your lap throughout the tour.

Due to the bouncy nature of our tours, full meals or glass bottles are prohibited on the vehicle. If necessary you are welcome to bring a small containable snack such as a granola bar. Due to Arizona law, alcoholic beverages are prohibited in our vehicles.

For the comfort of all guests, items prohibited include, but are not limited to, the following list:

Cigarettes
E-Cigarettes
Drones
Glass containers
Alcohol

Our tours operate rain or shine. Rainfall in Arizona is generally very short lived, and may offer the chance for you to see rainbows or waterfalls over our famous rock formations. We do carry rain ponchos on the vehicles in case of inclement weather.
In the case of extreme weather, Pink Jeep tours reserves the right to modify, shorten or cancel any tour to prevent damage to trails or avoid unsafe conditions.

For tours conducted in our open air Jeeps, there is no air conditioning or heating in these vehicles. The Jeeps are equipped with canopies to shield the sun and we provide blankets during colder weather.
For tours conducted in our enclosed vehicles, usually used for our longer day trips, there is air conditioning and heating in these vehicles. Blankets are also provided during colder weather.

Our jeeps have canopies that offer some relief from sun exposure; however, most of our tours are in fully enclosed vehicles. Due to various stops conducted on all of our tours, we recommend you wear a hat, sunscreen and bring a bottle of water.

Our guides are highly trained in how to maneuver the vehicles, and have been thoroughly trained in 4×4 techniques. Our guides are Smith System Safety and Compliance certified for road safety, and they are also CPR and first aid certified. All our jeeps have seatbelts.

Most of our jeep tours are too rugged for women who are expecting.

Our tours are appropriate for all ages, however we only allow children as young as 18 months on our Jeep tours and as young as 3 years on all-day tours. We provide car seats for children under 6 years of age or under 60 pounds.

The time we mentioned in the itinerary is for reference only. Please refer to your guide on tour for the actual arrangement. The visiting order and duration might be changed according to actual and practical situation for better service.
This tour/activity is overseen by a select local operator in the region.
