Itinerario

Enjoy two wonders of the Southwest - one natural, one manmade - with this Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon tours package. This thrilling expedition combines the natural wonder of the Grand Canyon and the engineering marvel of the Hoover Dam all in the same day. Buckle up inside a custom-designed Tour Trekker and cruise off to your first destination: The Grand Canyon. As you begin your adventure you’ll notice a change in scenery outside your window as you drive through the Mojave Desert. The road is now lined with gesturing Joshua trees. These Mojave Desert trees are found nowhere else in this country—or the world. Ask your tour guide why these spike-leafed evergreens are waving. The Grand Canyon and the Hualapai Nation greet you. Dive into their culture at Eagle Point and witness tribal dance performances and storytelling by native members of the Hualapai Villiage. Later in the tour you’ll find yourself lassoed back in time to the Old West at the western-themed town of Hualapai Ranch. The Wild West comes alive before your eyes with gunfights, cowboy games and cattle drives. Before leaving Eagle Point, don’t skip your chance to walk out onto the Grand Canyon Skywalk (optional, own expense). You can tread around this steel and glass walkway stretching 70 feet away from the rim. Peek over the railing for a glimpse of the Grand Canyon floor 4,000 feet below. One of the most awe-inspiring viewpoints of the Grand Canyon during this tour is at Guano Point. With surrounding views of the Grand Canyon, this is the perfect spot to take panoramic pictures. Peer over the edge for views of the historic bat cave that once housed 100,000 tons of guano. Saunter into the Hualapai Market where handcrafted keepsakes by Hualapai artisans are for sale. Look out the window as you cruise by and enjoy the sparkling waters of Lake Mead. The second part of your Hoover Dam tours excursion begins with a tour of the Hoover Dam Power Plant. This tour is an interactive way to learn about the Hoover Dam’s history and operations. Your Hoover Dam tours include comprehensive views showing the enormity of the Hoover Dam with all its operational features, through Reclamation guide presentations, audio and film presentations, and exhibits. A minimum of two (2) passengers is required to open a new tour and single passengers may be added to existing tours after verifying space availability.

Collapsible wheelchairs acceptable when accompanied by another adult.

Nevada law requires children to be properly secured in a car seat until they are at least 6 years old and 60 lbs.

No children under 3 permitted on tour.

Skywalk not included in tour price. Tickets can be purchased on site.

It is customary to tip the guide, especially when they provide you with exceptional service. Gratuity is based on individual preference but we suggest 15%, which is industry standard. You may tip the guide in cash or have it added to your credit card.

Although our tours are intimate due to vehicle size (we can accommodate up to 10 guests per vehicle) there will likely be other guests on the tour.

Our tours do not require hiking, although they do have picture stops where you will be getting out of the vehicle and doing short walks possibly on uneven terrain.

Dress in clothing comfortable for being outdoors, keeping in mind that since we are in the southwest it is recommended to wear sun protection including hats and sunscreen year round. We ask that you wear closed toed shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain and bring bottled water. Don’t forget to bring a camera!

Tripods and backpacks are allowed on this tour, however there is no storage space in our vehicles. Anything you bring needs to fit comfortably in your lap throughout the tour.

You can bring snacks along on the tour, however by Nevada law, liquor is prohibited in the vehicles.

For the comfort of all guests, items prohibited include, but are not limited to, the following list:

Our tours operate rain or shine. Rainfall in Las Vegas is rare and generally very short lived, and may offer the chance for you to see rainbows over the desert. We do carry rain ponchos on the vehicles in case of inclement weather.
In case of extreme weather, Pink Jeep Tours reserves the right to modify, shorten or cancel any tour to prevent damage to trails or avoid unsafe conditions.

For tours conducted in our open air Jeeps, there is no air conditioning or heating in these vehicles. The Jeeps are equipped with canopies to shield the sun and we provide blankets during colder weather.
For tours conducted in our enclosed vehicles, usually used for our longer day trips, there is air conditioning and heating in these vehicles. Blankets are also provided during colder weather.

Our jeeps have canopies that offer some relief from sun exposure; however, most of our tours are in fully enclosed vehicles. Due to various stops conducted on all of our tours, we recommend you wear a hat, sunscreen and bring a bottle of water.

Our guides are highly trained in how to maneuver the vehicles, and have been thoroughly trained in 4×4 techniques. Our guides are Smith System Safety and Compliance certified for road safety, and they are also CPR and first aid certified. All our jeeps have seatbelts.

The majority of our tours are available to expectant women due to traveling on paved roads. Our rugged jeep tours are not available for women who are expecting.

We reserve the right to deny boarding to any passenger.

Electric or motorized scooters cannot be accommodated on tours, but collapsible wheelchairs are allowed.

Jeep tours are not recommended for anyone that has back or neck problems, that is pregnant, or that has serious injuries.

The time we mentioned in the itinerary is for reference only. Please refer to your guide on tour for the actual arrangement. The visiting order and duration might be changed according to actual and practical situation for better service.
