According to your tour pickup time, meet your guide and begin your full-day tour.
First, visit Rose Valley, an incredibly unique area of Cappadocia known for its sharp ridges, tinted in pink—especially during sunset! The minerals in the sandstone give it this beautiful pink hue.
Next, head to Cavusin, a village surrounded by the gradually widening Red Valley. The village's houses were carved into massive rock formations. Cavusin is famous for its rock-hewn churches.
Then, continue to Pigeon Valley, named for the countless man-made dovecotes (pigeon houses) carved into the soft volcanic tuff. Pigeon Valley is one of the best spots for walking in the marvelous Cappadocia region.
Afterwards, explore the Underground Cities, which once served as a refuge for up to 15,000 Christians. These settlements were vital to the development of Christianity, providing shelter and places of worship. They remained in use until the 7th century AD. Witness the ancient bedrooms, churches, meeting halls, and food storage rooms in this eight-story city, connected by 30 km of corridors and passageways.
Finally, the tour continues with a visit to Ortahisar, famous for its friendly inhabitants, picturesque stone houses, narrow streets, and lovely churches, as well as the castle-like rock formation after which the town is named.
At the end of the tour, you'll be driven back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cappadocia.
