8-Day Vancouver, Banff, Jasper, Columbia Icefield, Rocky Mountain Tour

Customers arrived Vancouver airport before 12:00 pm will enjoy a complimentary city tour (approx. 3 hours) in Vancouver.

Early depart from Vancouver, pass through Fraser Valley towards Kelowna, a well-known city for its fruit orchards, such as cherries and peaches. On the way you can see the famous Okanagan Lake, hear the story about the legendary lake monster “Ogopogo”, which said to inhabit these waters. Tour stop by a famous winery, you could learn about the basics of wine making and wine tasting. Popular Ice Wine, red or white wine are available for purchase. In the evening, transferring to hotel after dinner time.

Travel through the Roger’s Pass which was built in 1885, and through Yoho National Park, we arrive the Lake Louise. you will be impressed by the panoramic view of the “Jewel of the Rockies”. At Lake Louise Ski Resort, you can take the gondola (optional), a great way to see Lake Louise and Victoria Glacier. Next, visit the Moraine Lake, it’s blue-green waters are sheltered in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Afterward visit the Bow River where Marilyn Monroe filmed the 1953 “River of No Return”. Tonight, free at leisure in Banff town.

The Icefields Parkway is a scenic road travelling through Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. Visible from the parkway, the Crow-foot Glacier is situated on the Crowfoot Mountain. Along the Parkway lies the Bow Lake, a glacial lake with a melted glacier source. Next arrive Columbia Icefield, which has an area of 325 sq km and up to 365m in depth, you could take a board on the Ice Explorer (optional) to discover the power of nature. Athabasca Glacier is one of the glacier feed by the Icefield. We can step on this glacier after a ride on the giant snow coach over the steep grades up the glacier. Another exciting experience is the Skywalk (optional) on a glass-floored walkway at 280m high, extending over the Sunwapta Valley. A bird’s eye view provides the most unique perspective of nature at its finest. 

Morning, proceed to Craigellachie where the Last Spike was driven into the Canadian Pacific Railway. Then head to Kamloops, a city with over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year. Visit the Ginseng factory and learn about the power of Ginseng. Via the trans-Canada highway, return to Vancouver in the late afternoon.

(A) Vancouver one day city tour
We start the day by visiting some famous attractions located in downtown Vancouver, which include the second largest China Town in North America, the born place of the first steam clock—Gas Town, Canada Place and Canada Winter Olympic Park. At Canada Place, you could take FlyOver Canada (optional), a flight stimulator ride allowing you to see Canada like never before. You will fly from coast to coast to coast, over Niagara Falls, and over other iconic parts of the world’s second largest country. We continue our tour to Stanley Park and the Suspension Bridge. Stanley Park covers 1,000 acres with forest and numerous totem poles crafted by the First Nations. Inside Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, you could take a walk and explore the 300 foot high Cliff Walk (optional). To make your perfect day, we visit Queen Elizabeth Park to stand at the highest point in Vancouver, where you can have spectacular views of the Park and downtown Vancouver.

(B) Victoria one day tour 
Tour starts with a scenic BC Ferries ride from Tsawwassen terminal through Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. Upon arrival in Vancouver Island we visit the century old Butchart Gardens. These world-famous floral gardens are located on a 55-acre estate in Victoria. People from around the world have been coming to see the gardens for more than 100 years. After lunch (optional meal plan), tour proceeds to the Victoria Chinatown. First stop is at the narrowest commercial street in Canada—Fan Tan Alley, where you could feel the developing history of Chinese in Canada. Afterward we visit the old British Style Victoria Inner Harbor tourist area. Here we can find the BC Legislature Building, the Royal BC Museum (optional), the Centennial Square, the fisherman wharf for a tasty fish & chip and the famous Empress Hotel. Then we visit  Beacon Hill Park to see Mile Zero, the starting point of the TransCanada Highway 1. Back to Vancouver in the late afternoon.

(C) Whistler one day tour
Whistler is a popular year-round destination with endless sightseeing and mountain resorts in North America. The excitement starts before reaching the village as you can enjoy the beautiful scenery on the Sea to Sky Highway. Passing through Horseshoe Bay, Squamish and Shannon Falls, the third tallest waterfalls in BC, and winding along Georgia Strait and Sunshine Coast, while one side is the sea and the other side is the mountain. Arriving Whistler, you will find a Swiss-setting alpine village, where you can enjoy European style shopping fun. Then ride on the thrilling Peak-2-Peak Gondola (optional) to the top and take the scenic 4.4km journey between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Back to Vancouver in late afternoon. (Whistler tour schedule may be changed due to seasonal and weather conditions.)
