Mejores Tours y Viajes de Murallas de Ávila

Encircled by one of Europe's best-preserved medieval fortifications, Ávila rises proudly atop a rocky plateau in Spain's Castilla y León region. The Walls of Ávila - a UNESCO World Heritage site - stretch over 2.5 kilometers, crowned with 88 watchtowers and punctuated by gates like Puerta del Alcázar and Puerta de San Vicente. Walking these imposing stone ramparts offers sweeping views of the surrounding plains and a tangible sense of history dating back to the 11th century. Nearby, the austere beauty of the Cathedral of Ávila - partly Romanesque, partly Gothic - and the shimmering gold grille of the Real Monasterio de Santo Tomás enhance the city's spiritual and architectural allure. A visit blends quiet contemplation, historical depth, and the stark elegance of Castilian landscapes just 90 minutes from Madrid by car or train.

Reviews for Walls Of Ávila Tours

A
1 Day Tour to Toledo and Segovia with optional Avila from Madrid

We had a great time on our tour to Segovia and Toledo from Madrid. Very comfortable bus and we loved our guide Steffi! She was very informative as well as entertaining. Both city tours had both guided and personal time which was great. Toledo has lots of steps so if you have mobility issues take note. Segovia is our favorite and this was our second visit. The Alcuzar tour is not guided so read up on its history.....it's amazing! Thanks for a great day!
