La mejor época para visitar Chengdu People's Park

Primavera 2026
Spring in Chengdu is a season of gentle awakening, with temperatures rising from 8°C to 26°C (46°F to 79°F). This is the premier time to witness the park’s famous Bonsai Garden and Orchid Garden (housing over 1,200 plants) in full bloom. The "matchmaking corner"—where parents display resumes for their children—becomes particularly active as the weather warms. It is the perfect season to secure a bamboo chair at the century-old Heming Teahouse, where the spring sun filters through the budding trees and the scent of jasmine tea fills the air. The mild, slightly misty mornings are ideal for watching locals practice Tai Chi or water calligraphy on the stone tiles before the afternoon "plum rains" occasionally arrive.

Verano 2026
Summer transforms the park into a lush, emerald escape with temperatures typically ranging from 21°C to 30°C (70°F to 86°F), though humidity can make it feel much warmer. While the city outside can be sweltering, the park’s dense canopy of ancient trees and the large artificial lake provide a natural cooling effect. This is the peak season for the Lotus Flower Show, with giant pink blooms covering the ponds. To beat the heat, locals flock to the lakeside teahouses to enjoy "Gaiwan" tea and the distinctive "ear-cleaning" service—a unique Chengdu tradition. Boating on the 1.5-hectare lake is a popular afternoon activity, offering a refreshing breeze and a view of the 12-meter-high waterfall cascading over the rocky eastern hill.

Otoño 2026
Autumn is widely heralded as the golden era for travel, featuring crisp air and pleasant temperatures between 10°C to 26°C (50°F to 79°F). As the summer humidity recedes, the park hosts its spectacular Annual Chrysanthemum Show (usually late October), featuring thousands of colorful floral arrangements. The ginkgo trees, a symbol of Chengdu, turn a brilliant, flaming gold, carpeting the pathways in yellow leaves. This stable weather is ideal for exploring the Monument to the Railway Protection Movement Martyrs, a nationally protected cultural site. The cool, dry air makes it the most comfortable season for "baba tea" (outdoor tea drinking) and watching lively mahjong games that spill out from the teahouse pavilions.

Invierno 2026
Winter in Chengdu is a quiet, atmospheric season, with temperatures typically fluctuating between 3°C and 11°C (37°F and 52°F). While the air is damp and overcast, the park remains a hub of warmth and social activity. This is the best time for the "Around-Stove Tea Boiling" (Weilu Zhucha) experience, where you can boil tea over a small charcoal stove at your table while roasting nuts and sweet potatoes. The misty winter fog gives the park a calm, mysterious charm, and the blooming wintersweet adds a delicate fragrance and splash of yellow to the grey days. After a morning of quiet exploration, travelers often head to the nearby Jinli Street for a steaming bowl of Sichuan hotpot to ward off the winter chill.
