This building complex in Prague's Old Town is the location of Charles University, which was established by Bohemian King Charles IV in 1348 making it Central Europe's oldest university. Karolinum is a National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic. It has been renovated several times most recently between 1879 to 1881 in Neo-Gothic style.
