Day 1 Boston, Massachusetts

Boston has always been the best starting point for exploring New England. You'll pass the Massachusetts State House, Paul Revere's house, and the Old North Church without needing a map.

What to expect: If you land earlier in the day, consider adding a swing through Beacon Hill before you tackle the Freedom Trail. The gas lamps, brick sidewalks, and narrow streets there give you a completely different feel from the busier downtown core, and it only takes about thirty minutes to walk through the whole neighborhood. Boston Common, right next to the State House, is also a nice spot to rest your feet for a few minutes.

Day 2 Boston, Massachusetts
