Basilica de San Vicente Map / Location

Constructed from the 12th century through the 14th century, this important church is the site of the martyrdom of St. Vincent, whose tomb depicts the story of his torture and execution at the hands of the Romans. The interior is laid out in a Latin cross pattern typical of the architectural style, and is considered one of the best examples of Romanesque architecture in all of Spain.
