Positioned at the foot of the Matterhorn, Zermatt is a cars-free zone and one of Switzerland’s most popular ski and snowboard destinations. Ski teams even train here in the summer. Outside of snow sports, Zermatt has nearly 250 miles of hiking trails, including the 13th century mule traders’ trails.
