Designed by famous architect Cass Gilbert, the Woolworth Building was the tallest building in the world from its completion date of 1913 to 1930. The 792-foot tall, 60-story skyscraper in Lower Manhattan was commissioned by Frank Woolworth to serve as his company's headquarters as well as contain offices for other businesses.
