The Baroque palace surrounding by captivating gardens is the meeting place of the Czech Senate. Wallenstein Palace was built from 1623-1630 and commissioned by wealthy Duke Albrecht von Wallenstein. He reportedly wanted his new estate to be greater than Prague Castle. The interior of Wallenstein Palace was decorated lavishly by the duke, however, those items were later by the Swedish army in 1648.
