The San Miguel Bajo church in Albaicin was built in the 1500s on the remains of a mosque. It is easily found in the Plaza de San Miguel Bajo. One of the most appealing features of the church is the water cistern on its south wall, which was part of the original mosque and is still surprisingly well preserved today.
