This 1,904-square-mile national park established in 1919 spotlights the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon - one of "The Seven Wonders of the Natural World" and nearly 2,000 million years old. The park is a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site and was featured on the 2010 "America the Beautiful" quarter collection. Points of interest are the Grand Canyon Visitor's Center, Grand Canyon Village, Desert View Drive, Hermit Road, Yavapai Museum of Geology and Phantom Ranch. Almost five million people visit the Grand Canyon per year. Its West Rim is maintained and operated by the Hualapai Native American Tribe.
