Recently restored and refurnished, the Cahteau de Villandry has received the "Label Qualite Tourisme" by the French Ministry of Tourism based on its effort to preserved and maintain the authentic feel of this Loire Valley chateau. A classic estate in Villandry, the chateau was built in the 17th century around a 14th century keep, expanding to include a gorgeous series of gardens and a purely French-style chateau that was unseen at the time. The interior of the chateau was remodeled in the 18th century with neoclassical designs and modern comforts, such as insulation and soundproofing.
