Officially called the Clarence F. Buckingham Memorial Fountain, this landmark located in Chicago's Grant Park is one of the world's largest fountains with its base pool measuring 280 feet in diameter. Buckingham Fountain was designed by Edward H. Bennett in rococo wedding cake style influenced by the Latona Basin in Versailles, France. It was dedicated in 1927 and named after the man who made donated the funds for its creation. The fountain runs from April to mid-October and features a water show every 20 minutes.
