This monument was erected in 1872 as a memorial to the deceased German-born husband of Queen Victoria. The Albert Memorial is located across from the Royal Albert Hall. Some of the memorial’s approximately 200 figures represent the continents, the arts and the sciences, while others represent angels and virtues. At the center is a gilded Albert himself.
