One of Berlin’s most elegant and romantic boulevards can be found in the old heart of the city. Aptly named Unter den Linden (Under the Linden Trees) is named for the linden trees that line this pedestrian mall that stretches from the Brandenburg gate to the Schlossbrucke Bridge. Notable sights along the way include the Berlin State Opera and the Neue Wache, a memorial for victims of war and dictatorship.
