Considered on of the most important cemeteries in Latin America, the Colon Cemetery of Havana, Cuba has stood in the Vedado neighborhood since 1876. Still in use today, the cemetery spans 150 acres and houses nearly 800,000 graves, mausoleums, monuments, and tombs that host a variety of designs, statues, architectural styles, and stories. Some of the key sites of the cemetery area 75 monument dedicated to the firefighters who lost their lives in 1890 and sacred memorial for Maria and her child where individuals can pray for safe and healthy pregnancies.
