This 2,255-foot suspension bridge was the first vehicular bridge to cross the Hudson River connecting New York City and Albany. Bear Mountain Bridge opened in 1924 and was briefly the world's longest suspension bridge. This toll bridge is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and also designated a "Local Historic Civil Engineering Landmark" by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
