The widest avenue in the world, Avenida 9 de Julio was inagurated to honor Argentina's Day of Independence (July 9th). Many of the city's great cultural attractions line the avenue, such as the Plaza de Revolution, a statue of Don Quixote, the Teatro Colon opera house, and architecturally renowned French Embassy. The avenue eds at the Constitution Station, a major train station that provides access to the Buenos Aires subway system.
