Aso Volcano
Aso Volcano, located in the northeastern part of Kumamoto Prefecture on Kyushu Island, is an active volcano with a rare caldera landscape. It is one of the few places where you can observe an active volcano up close. From here, you can gaze down into the crater and see plumes of white smoke rising, allowing you to experience the tremendous power of nature and enjoy spectacular views.
Aso Kusasenri Grassland
Kusasenri is a large meadow located at the northern foot of Mount Eboshi. In the center of the meadow is a pond formed by rainwater, with cows and horses grazing peacefully. Throughout the year, different landscapes can be enjoyed in this 20,000-hectare vast grassland. You can take a leisurely stroll through the lush green grass, watch the freely roaming cows and sheep, and breathe in the fresh mountain air, creating a sense of peace and serenity as if you were in a fairyland.
Aso Volcano Museum (Admission: 1,100 JPY, optional)
The Aso Volcano Museum, located by the expansive Kusasenri, showcases the geography, geology, and flora and fauna of Aso Volcano. It houses an extensive collection of materials about the history of the volcano. You can explore a large three-dimensional model that illustrates the formation of Aso Volcano and learn about volcanoes from Japan and around the world. The museum also features live broadcasts of Nakadake Crater through a camera system.

"Kokoro" is the JR Kyushu mascot and has become the virtual stationmaster of the Aso Boy Train.     1) During the tour, leaving the group early or abandoning the group is not permitted. If you choose to leave midway, the uncompleted portion will be considered as voluntarily abandoned, and no refunds will be issued.
