Special Notes
Start Early Each Day: Most monuments are best visited in the morning to avoid crowds and heat. Especially in Agra, visiting the Taj Mahal at sunrise is a must for the best light and fewer tourists.
Choose Weekdays Over Weekends: Tourist spots like India Gate, Fatehpur Sikri, and Amber Fort get crowded on weekends. Plan key visits on weekdays for a more relaxed experience.
Dress Comfortably Yet Respectfully: Wear light cotton clothes in summer and carry a scarf or shawl for temple or mosque visits. Winter mornings can be chilly (especially in January), so pack a light jacket.
Carry Local Currency (INR) Small vendors and local markets usually don't accept cards or digital payments. Keep small denominations for tipping guides, drivers, or buying souvenirs.
Book Taj Mahal Tickets Online in Advance: It helps you avoid long queues. Make sure to book the sunrise slot for magical views.
Be Mindful of Travel Time: Distances between cities may look short, but traffic can delay journeys.
Delhi to Agra: ~3.5–4 hrs
Agra to Jaipur (via Fatehpur Sikri): ~5 hrs
Jaipur to Delhi: ~5 hrs
Start road journeys early to maximize sightseeing time.
Travel Light, But Pack Essentials: Reusable water bottle, power bank, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and good walking shoes are must-haves.
The Taj Mahal closes on Fridays: Plan your itinerary so that your Agra visit doesn't fall on a Friday.
Depending on your arrival time, your hotel room may not be available until the afternoon. Most hotels allow check-in between 1:00pm-3:00pm, however some charge a fee for early check-in. Please check at the hotel desk to see if you may store your luggage at the hotel if you wish to explore the city on your own before check-in.
