It was named after New South Wales' first governor Arthur Phillip and is located approximately 87 miles from Melbourne. A 2,100-foot bridge connects the 39-square-mile island to the mainland. Points of interest are The Nobbies, Phillip Island Nature Park and its Koala Conservation Centre, Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Rhyll Trout and Bush Tucker Farm and Phillip Island Chocolate Factory.
