This beautiful 461,901-acre national park in California's Sierra Nevada range offers giant sequoia trees, canyons, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and wildlife. Naturalist John Muir popularized the Kings Canyon area back in 1873 and the park was established in 1940. It is divided into the General Grant Grove and Redwood Mountain Grove.
