【China Visa Information】
  • Q2 Visa: Allows a stay of up to 180 days upon arrival in China. Extensions can be applied for at the local Exit-Entry Administration office. (Most applicants choose this visa type)
  • Q1 Visa: Requires completing long-term residence procedures at the relevant office within 1 month of arrival in China.

  • Applicants with Previous Visa:
    Chinese name of the applicant
    Original U.S. passport
    If the visa is in an old passport, a copy of the old U.S. passport's main page and a copy of the previous visa must be provided.
  • Applicants without Previous Visa:
    Chinese passport
    Chinese ID number
    U.S. passport
    Non-U.S. citizens (e.g., Canadian citizens) must provide their own passport and U.S. green card
  • Proof of New York Residency:
    New York ID or driver's license
    If unavailable: utility bill, bank statement, or insurance letter with applicant's name and address (must be within the New York Consulate jurisdiction)
  • Family Member Documents in China:
    Clear front and back photo/scan of family member's Chinese ID
    Contact phone number
    Signed invitation letter on blank paper (we can assist in preparing the invitation letter)
  • Name Change Documentation (if applicable):
    Court order or legal document showing the name change after naturalization
  • Photo Requirements:
    1 electronic 2x2 inch photo with white background
    Wear dark clothing; forehead must be visible (no bangs covering)
  • Planned Travel Date:

  • Work Experience: List in reverse chronological order (most recent first). Include work address, phone number, supervisor's name and contact
  • Education Background: From high school onward, list in reverse chronological order. Include enrollment and graduation dates, school name, address, and major

    Spouse: Name, nationality, occupation, date of birth, country, city, district, detailed address
    Parents: Name, nationality, occupation, date of birth, detailed address (as per ID; if deceased, not required)
    Children: Name, nationality, occupation, date of birth, detailed address

  • Domestic Inviter in China: Name, address, phone number (if different from ID, provide full address)
  • Planned Travel Dates: Departure to China and return to the U.S.
  • Travel to China in the Last 3 Years: Include cities, districts, arrival and departure dates (passport entry/exit stamps can be used)
