Best Grindelwald Swiss Village Tours & Trips

Nestled on the Isle of Wight’s northern coast, Stokes Bay offers a refreshingly unspoiled seaside escape just a short ferry ride from Portsmouth. Known for its shingle beach and calm, shallow waters, it’s a favorite among families and paddleboarders alike. The scenic promenade stretches from Gun Village to Alverstoke, linking historic coastal defenses with sweeping Solent views. Birdwatchers frequent the nearby Portsmouth Harbour Nature Reserve, while walkers enjoy the South West Coast Path extension that threads through Fort Gilkicker - a 19th-century coastal fortress ripe for exploration. With reliable sunshine hours and unobstructed Horizons, it’s a prime spot for sunset lovers. Local fish and chips vendors near the pier add flavor to a day well spent by the sea.
