Portugal's most picturesque coastal resort and fishing village, Nazare is renowned for its seafood restaurants, pristine beaches, Carnival celebrations and, most recently, what is believed to be the largest wave ever ridden at 100 feet. Its old town is characterized by narrow cobblestone lanes spilling down to a wide, sandy beach.
