The Sanctuary of Fatima, also called the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, is the destination of many Roman Catholic pilgrimages, especially between May 13 and Oct. 13. It is estimated that four million people visit the site every year.

Fatima, Batalha and Obidos Day Trip from Lisbon**UNESCO World Heritage**

What impressed us more with this trip was that we covered a lot of the many must-see spits in all of Spain and Portugal. Our tour guide Julie was also very knowledgeable, and as teachers mostly in our group of 16, the information we got from her was very much welcomed.
