Book two Globus vacations traveling in the same year and receive 5% off the land portion of your second tour. If you take three tours, you save 5% on each of your next two. Discount on the land-only portion of core tour, not including extra night accommodations, extensions, taxes/fees, tips and supplements. Does not apply to Cosmos, Monograms or Avalon Waterways. Day 1 - ARRIVE IN COPENHAGEN, DENMARK Check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the Danish capital with the help of the CosmosGO app. Tonight, meet your Tour Director and travel companions. (D)
Day 2 - COPENHAGEN Enjoy a day at leisure in the capital of the oldest kingdom in the world. Besides many interesting landmarks and architectural masterpieces, see some of the more famous sites on your orientation drive, including the legendary Little Mermaid statue. Free time to explore independently this afternoon or get the royal treatment while traveling through time and Danish royal history on the optional excursion to Frederiksborg Castle. Explore this Danish Renaissance gem situated on three islands surrounded by a lake and beautiful gardens. (B)
Day 3 - COPENHAGEN - ODENSE - FREDERIKSHAVN After breakfast, start the journey northwards, enjoying the drive across the Great Belt bridge, which will connect you to the fairytale island of Funen. Stop in Odense, Hans Christian Andersen's hometown and, crossing the Little Belt waterway, head for Frederikshavn on the rural Jutland Peninsula. Today's Distance: 298 mi/ 480 km (B)
Day 4 - FREDERIKSHAVN - OSLO, NORWAY Take a pleasant ferry ride and continue to Oslo, Norway's capital city.Today's Distance by coach: 198 mi/ 319 km (B)
Day 5 - OSLO - TELEMARK AREA Vigeland's park, an open-air museum featuring over 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943) is one the highlights of the included Oslo sightseeing tour; also see the National Theater, Parliament, and Akershus Castle. Day 6 - TELEMARK AREA - BERGEN Take a ferry across the stunning Hardangerfjord "The Queen of the fjords," then relax on a scenic drive which includes a picture stop at Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall. On arrival in Bergen, Norway's picture-perfect Hanseatic seaport, start getting to know the city on the included orientation. Today's Distance: 224 mi/ 360 km (B)
Day 7 - BERGEN Built on seven hills with fjords on one side and 1,000-foot Mount Floyen on the other, Bergen was the home of composer Edvard Grieg. Spend the day exploring at leisure or consider joining one of our optional excursions to discover the history, traditions, and breathtaking views of this beautiful port city. (B)
Day 8 - BERGEN - SOGNEFJORD/NÆRØYFJORD CRUISE - FAGERNES AREA More spectacular scenery as you drive towards the Sognefjord, where you embark for a breathtaking cruise on one of Norway's mightiest fjords, the Naeroyfjord. Day 9 - FAGERNES AREA - LILLEHAMMER - KARLSTAD, SWEDEN First to Lillehammer, the mountain resort that hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics, then, a scenic drive along beautiful Lake Mjosa. Continue towards Sweden through Varmland's unspoiled wilderness of forest and lakes to Karlstad, located by Sweden's largest lake, Lake Vanern.Today's Distance: 286 mi/ 460 km (B)
Day 10 - KARLSTAD - MARIEFRED - STOCKHOLM Leave Karlstad and head east towards Stockholm via idyllic Mariefred. Here, we have a view of majestic Gripsholm Castle, built in an enchanting rural setting. On to the Swedish capital. Its beauty is due to its unique setting on 14 islands between Lake Maleren and the Baltic Sea. Tonight, why not join an optional excursion to discover Stockholm's Old Town with its fascinating old buildings and then enjoy a typical Swedish dinner in a 14th-century cellar. 1.Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.
2. Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a status update email from us. If you need to book an airline ticket, we recommend that you do so after you receive a confirmation of your tour reservation from us.
3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation are confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.
4. Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.
