Itinerary

Our Grand Canyon tour is our most comprehensive, including not only plenty of time to explore this Natural Wonder but also ancient ruins and volcanic fields. Begin with a scenic drive up Oak Creek Canyon and views of Arizona's highest mountain peaks. Then continue through tall pine forests to Sunset Crater National Monument where you'll view the massive lava flows created when the volcano was active. Next, travel to Wupatki National Monument to view an ancient Sinagua village and learn about the people who inhabited the area. Afterward, continue to the Navajo Nation for a stop at historic Cameron Trading Post for browsing the many Native American arts and crafts.
You'll travel along the Little Colorado River Gorge on the way to the Grand Canyon for your first spectacular view. Enjoy expansive views of the Canyon and Colorado River far below at Desert View and explore the unique watchtower patterned after ancient Native American structures. Then, visit our favorite overlooks along the South and East rims of the Canyon as your guide shares the history and geology of the area. You'll also have free time to explore the Grand Canyon Village. Upon leaving the national park, you'll travel across wide open plains and through Ponderosa pine forests for the return portion of the trip. A stop will be made during the tour for lunch (on your own.)
