▼ Kachikachi Mountain Ropeway, Lake Kawaguchi (Approx. 90 minutes, cable car fee included)
Lake Kawaguchi, at an elevation of 830 meters and covering an area of 5.7 square kilometers, offers many excellent spots along its winding shoreline to view Mount Fuji. The stunning reflection of Mount Fuji in the lake’s waters is a spectacular sight.
Kachikachi Mountain Ropeway

The ropeway takes you to the observation deck at 1,075 meters, offering panoramic views of both Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. On clear days, you can even see the South Alps. At the mountaintop, there is a bell called "Tenshō no Kane" (The Heavenly Bell), and it is said that ringing the bell will make your wishes come true.
The Kachikachi Mountain Ropeway is inspired by the famous story "Kachikachi Yama" by the renowned Japanese writer Osamu Dazai. The gondolas and observation platforms are decorated with dolls of tanuki (raccoon dogs) and rabbits, reflecting the theme of the story. This makes it a perfect spot for photos.
The ropeway takes about 3 minutes to reach the summit at 1,075 meters, where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. On clear days, you can also catch a distant view of the South Alps, including peaks such as Akaishi-dake and Arakawa-dake.

▼ Matcha Experience at Lake Kawaguchi (Approx. 60 minutes) ——In case of traffic jams or other uncontrollable circumstances, the overall duration of the matcha experience may be shortened.
Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, has an exceptionally long shoreline and offers beautiful seasonal views—cherry blossoms in spring, tulips in summer, and colorful leaves in autumn. As part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, it offers stunning views of Mount Fuji.
During this tour, you will have the opportunity to stroll along the lake and enjoy the scenic beauty of Mount Fuji. Additionally, you can participate in a matcha tea-making experience with a local instructor, where you'll prepare and drink authentic matcha, immersing yourself in traditional Japanese culture.
The concept of "Ichi-go Ichi-e" comes from Japanese tea ceremonies, emphasizing that each meeting is unique and should be treated with respect and gratitude. The idea is that you may only meet the person once in your lifetime, so it is important to cherish and honor the moment.
After your matcha experience, it is recommended to step outside the tea shop and take photos with the stunning Mount Fuji in the background.
