7:00 AM - Pick-up from your hotel in Delhi Your private tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Delhi in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.
10:30 AM - Arrival in Agra After a 3-hour drive, you will reach Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal.
10:30 AM - Visit the Taj Mahal You will start your tour by visiting the Taj Mahal, one of the most famous monuments in the world. Your private guide will take you through the history and significance of this iconic white marble mausoleum, which was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. You will have ample time to explore and take photos.
12:30 PM - Visit Agra Fort After visiting the Taj Mahal, you will proceed to Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your private guide will take you through the history of this red sandstone fortress, which was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and was later expanded by his grandson Shah Jahan. You will see some of the most important buildings within the fort complex, including the Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Jahangir Palace, and Khas Mahal.
2:00 PM - Lunch After exploring the Agra Fort, you will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant where you can try some delicious Mughlai cuisine.
3:00 PM - Optional Shopping Experience After lunch, you can choose to visit some local shops and markets to browse and purchase souvenirs, handicrafts, textiles, and jewelry. Agra is famous for its marble inlay work, leather goods, and traditional handicrafts. Your tour guide can suggest some reputable shops and help you negotiate prices.
4:00 PM - Visit the Baby Taj After shopping, you will visit the Baby Taj, also known as the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah. This beautiful mausoleum is often called the "jewel box" of Agra due to its intricate carvings and inlaid marble work.
5:30 PM - Departure for Delhi After exploring the Baby Taj, you will head back to Delhi.
8:30 PM - Drop-off at your hotel in Delhi You will be dropped off at your hotel in Delhi, where your private tour ends.
