Escape the city on a lovely day trip from Vienna to Wachau, a picturesque valley along the Danube, and enjoy sweeping views of mighty castles, impressive monasteries and a breathtaking landscape. Gentle hills and green woods take turns in letting small hidden villages come into view. Upon arrival in Melk we'll board our bus and drive to the nearby Benedictine Abbey. This impressive baroque building was awarded the prize "Best Historic Destination of the World" together with the Wachau in 2008.
