Itinerary

The San Francisco to Sausalito bike tour begins at 10:00 AM daily . Take a beautiful bicycle ride on the Bay Trail over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito with a return trip to San Francisco by ferryboat! The tour is a moderate to easy 9-mile adventure as the majority of the ride is flat (only 2-3 hill climbs) and the last mile is mostly downhill. Sights of interest include Fisherman's Wharf, Aquatic Park, Ghirardelli Square, Fort Mason, Marina Green, Crissy Field, Palace of Fine Arts, Presidio, Fort Point, Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito shops, Alcatraz, Angel Island, and more. An experienced tour guide will share fun and interesting information about each sight. The tour ends when participants arrive in Sausalito, usually between 12:30 and 1:00pm . Riders can then catch a ferryboat or bike back to San Francisco at their leisure. Ferryboat tickets are not included, but can be purchased on the ferryboat. Time of the Golden Gate Tour: Please arrive at 9:30 AM for the 10:00 tour. You will arrive in Sausalito between 12:30 and 1:00 PM. Return to San Francisco at your leisure.

Please return at least 15 minutes before the store closes.

Children must be at least one year old to ride in the Burley trailers. Minors under 18 are required by state law to wear a helmet. All minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian.

Spring/Summer: wear lightweight clothing and comfortable shoes.
Fall/Winter: wear layered clothing in the winter to ensure comfort in the cold weather.
