Itinerary

Covering over 40 square miles of the Crescent City followed by a 2-hour harbor cruise on board the World Famous Steamboat NATCHEZ makes this experience a favorite for visitors. The City Tour and Steamboat NATCHEZ cruise depart from the heart of the French Quarter - Toulouse Street Wharf (400 Decatur Street, New Orleans, LA).
City, Cemetery and Garden District Tour:
See landmarks and architecture while listening to the legends that make New Orleans famous!  Three hundred years of entertaining history about “America’s Most Interesting City” make this tour our visitors’ favorite. Beginning with Jackson Square and continues along Esplanade Avenue with a view of its splendid architecture. You’ll arrive at one of our “Cities of the Dead” where you’ll learn about our most unusual burial system then on to City Park, travel along the line of the famous St. Charles Avenue streetcar, our tour will pass Tulane and Loyola Universities and Audubon Park.  Better known as “Millionaire’s Row”, St. Charles Avenue boasts stately mansions and lush tropical gardens.  Our tour will skim the edges of the warehouse and business districts en route back to the French Quarter.
Riverboat Cruise
Take a river excursion into the heart of the signature culture and lifestyle of New Orleans and Louisiana as you step aboard the Steamboat NATCHEZ. She’s the ninth steamer to bear the name NATCHEZ.  It was her predecessor, NATCHEZ II, that raced the ROBERT E. LEE in the most famous steamboat race of all time, and even today, our NATCHEZ is proudly the undisputed champion of the Mississippi, never having been beaten - the best of her time. Her 32-note steam calliope was custom-crafted and modelled especially for the NATCHEZ. Daily calliope concerts before boarding.
The 2 hour cruise will take you to past Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral for the most picturesque view of the city. We will pass this landmark twice (once on the way down river, and again on the way back to dock) make sure you have your camera ready! The NATCHEZ features the right blend of narration complimented with live jazz by the Steamboat Stompers. Make sure you check out the band as on any given day, some of New Orleans most famous musicians sit in with the band.
Periodically, Steamboat NATCHEZ will be out of service for her yearly Coast Guard inspections and general maintenance. All cruises during this time will take place on her sister vessel - the Riverboat CITY of NEW ORLEANS.
