SAN GABRIEL — In the latest episode of "100 Traveler Stories," Tours4Fun CEO Allen Wang sat down with Peter, a Shanghai native who has lived in the Los Angeles area for nearly 50 years. As a long-time customer who has traveled with Tours4Fun to destinations across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, mainland China, and Thailand, Peter shared insights into what makes a travel platform truly trustworthy.
From Online Search to Years of Partnership
Peter discovered Tours4Fun online about five or six years ago. "I saw it on the internet, so I called and came in to let you handle everything," he explained. "I don't have to worry about a thing."
For Peter and his wife, who have been in the United States since the 1980s, the appeal of Tours4Fun lies in its comprehensive service model. "We've traveled with tour agencies for many years, but now that we're older, we want to leave everything to the travel agency," he said. "I tried Tours4Fun and found it quite good. Any problems get resolved."

Service That Solves Real Problems
Peter recounted a specific incident that demonstrated Tours4Fun's responsiveness. During his wife's trip to Yunnan, China, she was charged for an activity already included in the itinerary. "We called Tours4Fun, and they refunded the money right away," Peter recalled. "The service was very timely."
This experience reinforced Peter's understanding of Tours4Fun's core value proposition. "The two most important things are convenience and service," he said. "When there's an issue, you need to be able to reach someone immediately."

A Platform Connecting Travelers with Global Resources
Having traveled extensively with Tours4Fun, Peter appreciates the platform's diverse product offerings. "Your coverage basically meets our current travel needs," he noted. "The most important thing now is service."
Allen emphasized that Tours4Fun serves a diverse community in Los Angeles with varying budgets and travel preferences. "Some people want to go to Africa, others want basic travel experiences, and some want higher-quality services," Allen explained. "The platform connects travelers with local resources worldwide."

Communication Is Key
Peter offered valuable feedback about the platform's role as an intermediary. "Since you're a platform and don't lead all the tours yourselves, the most important thing is communication," he advised. "Even if you have procedures in place, you need to explain everything clearly to customers and leave a deep impression. Otherwise, it can cause problems."
Peter acknowledged that not every customer has his level of communication skills, making clear explanation even more critical.

Balancing Structure and Freedom
Peter shared an example from a European trip where the group was scheduled for a French dinner, but he and his wife chose to visit locations associated with "Les Misérables" and Victor Hugo's home instead. "Everyone has different requirements," he noted, highlighting the importance of flexibility within organized tours.
Future Destinations: Northern Europe and Beyond
When asked about his travel bucket list, Peter immediately mentioned Northern Europe. "The weather is too hot now, so we want to go to Northern Europe," he said. "I'm thinking Iceland for six days to see the black sand beaches, and also Norway."
Allen suggested combining local tours in Iceland with some free time, which Peter agreed would be "perfect."
Allen also mentioned his home province of Sichuan as a potential future destination. Peter has visited Jiuzhaigou but noted his wife hasn't been there yet.

Trust Built Over Time
The interview concluded with mutual appreciation. "Thank you for your continued trust in Tours4Fun and for the valuable feedback you've shared today," Allen told Peter. "We hope to continue accompanying you as you travel the world."
Peter responded, "Thank you. I also hope to continue traveling with Tours4Fun."
