Thousands of people rushed to Virginia City to gain riches, but left after mining output decreased in 1975 making Virginia City a ghost town. Today, it has a population of less than 1,000 people. Attractions include Old West saloons, horse-drawn carriages, old mines, old-fashioned stores and restaurants as well as a steam engine train.
