Winter is the sunniest time of year in Puebla, offering brilliant blue skies and the best visibility of the nearby Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes. Daytime temperatures are very pleasant, averaging 21°C (70°F) to 23°C (73°F). However, the high altitude means that as soon as the sun drops, so does the temperature. Nighttime lows average 5°C (41°F) to 7°C (45°F), and it can occasionally feel even colder due to the lack of humidity.
