The city of Plano located in Kendall County, Illinois, is home to the Plano Harvester Company. The Plano Harvester Company, was originally known as the Plano Manufacturing Company, which was established in the area that is now Plano, in the early 1860s by the the Marsh brothers. The establishment of the Plano Manufacturing Company provided the foundation for the city of Plano to be developed. Many scenes from the 2013 blockbuster hit "Man of Steel," were filmed in Plano, including multiple fighting scenes between Superman and the movie's villain.
