Known as the "Mushroom Capital of the World," the Pennsylvania borough has a giant annual mushroom festival. Kennett Square was incorporated in 1853 and was the site of the American Revolutionary War's Battle of Brandywine in 1777. It also was a stop along the Underground Railroad. Kennett Square points of interest are Longwood Gardens, The Mushroom Cap, Talula's Table, Anson B. Nixon Park and Clock Tower on State Street.
