Highly efficient itinerary for someone with limited vacation time. We covered the California coast, the Sierra Nevadas, the Great Basin, and the National Parks in just one week. The quality of the guide in Yellowstone was superior; he used a high-powered scope so we could see the wolves in Lamar Valley. Transportation was a modern, high-roof van with plenty of USB ports. Very impressed with the organization.

Yo, this tour is a whole vibe!! Traveling by train from Cali to SLC is 100x better than flying. No airport security drama, just pure views. Yellowstone was literal fire—saw like 5 bears and a million bison. The group size was small (max 13), so it didn’t feel like a middle school field trip. If u want those aesthetic IG shots of Grand Teton without the stress of driving, this is the move.

Magnifique! The Amtrak journey was so romantic, watching the sunset over the desert. We loved that this tour gives you the "Grand Tour" feel of the 1920s. The guides were professional and the transition at the Salt Lake City station was very well-coordinated. We felt very safe and well-looked after. It is the best way to see the American wilderness without the "tourist trap" feeling.

As a lifelong train enthusiast, combining the Amtrak California Zephyr with the majesty of Yellowstone was a dream. The stretch through the Rockies is arguably the best rail scenery in the US. The transition from the tracks to the tour van in Salt Lake City was seamless. This isn’t a "sit-on-a-bus-all-day" tour; it has a romantic, old-world travel vibe. The itinerary is incredibly reasonable, giving you the best of both the rails and the trails.

Everything was 5 stars except the food. The Amtrak dining car is okay, but limited. During the park tour, we mostly ate at cafeteria-style lodges. I wish there were more opportunities to try local Wyoming steak or trout. However, the sights? Unbeatable. Old Faithful erupted right on schedule! The booking platform was very smooth and I appreciated the digital vouchers sent to my phone.
