Located in California's Santa Ynez Valley, this city is full of Danish architecture and merchants, wine tasting rooms, museums and art galleries and ranches. Solvang means "sunny fields" in Danish and was started by Danes in 1911. Many tourists travel to Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley after seeing the 2004 film "Sideways" that was filmed and based there.
