Accepted Answer

Take the Express Bus from Terminal 4 of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport to Méndez Álvaro bus station, then board a direct ALSA bus to Salamanca. The journey takes 3.5 hours. Buses run multiple times daily-book via ALSA’s website for best fares. Alternatively, Renfe trains from Madrid-Chamartín take 2.5 hours but require a metro transfer.

Question 2

What is the best time of year to visit Salamanca for mild weather and fewer crowds?

Accepted Answer

Visit Salamanca between late April and early June or September to early October. These months offer pleasant temperatures (15-24°C) and fewer tourists. The city hosts the San Juan Festival in June, a vibrant celebration with bonfires and rooftop gatherings, but book accommodations early. Avoid July-August due to heat and crowded language schools.
