These extraordinary falls located near Quebec City are 98 feet taller than the famed Niagara Falls, but not nearly as wide. Montmorency Falls that drop from the Montmorency River to the St. Lawrence River were named by Samuel de Champlain in 1613 after the Duke of Montmorency.
