FAQs about Guano Point Tours

Is Guano Point worth visiting compared to Grand Canyon Village?

Yes, Guano Point offers a quieter, less crowded alternative to Grand Canyon Village with panoramic west-rim views. Located on Hualapai Tribal land, it features a glass skywalk, open-air observation decks, and direct Colorado River vistas. While it lacks the historic charm of the South Rim, its rugged overlooks and inclusive Hualapai cultural elements make it a compelling stop for those seeking solitude and unique photo opportunities.

What is the entrance fee for Guano Point and is it included in the Grand Canyon West shuttle pass?

Admission to Guano Point is $110 per person and includes access to the entire Grand Canyon West rim, helicopter rides, the skywalk, and shuttle transportation from Peach Springs. The fee is bundled - there is no separate shuttle pass. Children under 10 pay $65. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Hualapai Tribe’s official website.

Can I visit Guano Point year-round, and what is the best time to avoid extreme heat?

Guano Point is open year-round, but summer temperatures often exceed 100°F (38°C). The best times to visit are April - May and September - October when daytime temperatures average 65-85°F (18-29°C). Winter visits are possible, though mornings can be cold; dress in layers. Avoid midday sun exposure during summer months due to intense desert heat and limited shade.

Are there food and restroom facilities at Guano Point?

Yes, Guano Point has basic restroom facilities and a snack bar offering bottled water, soft drinks, and light meals like burgers and chips. No full-service restaurants are available. Travelers are encouraged to bring extra water, sunscreen, and snacks, especially if arriving by private vehicle, as services are limited and supplies may run out during peak season.
