Question 1

How do I get from Cairo Airport to Giza Pyramids using public transport?

Accepted Answer

Take the Airport Shuttle Bus to Cairo's main train station (Ramses), then transfer to the metro Line 1 (Helwan-El Marg) and ride to Giza Station. From there, take taxi or bus 901 directly to the Giza Plateau entrance. Total journey time is approximately 90 minutes. Avoid late-night travel due to limited service.

Question 2

Is it safe to visit the Giza Pyramids at sunrise or sunset?

Accepted Answer

Yes, visiting the Giza Pyramids at sunrise or sunset is safe and recommended to avoid heat and crowds. Always enter through the official tourist entrance with paid tickets. Avoid unmarked paths and hire only licensed guides or join a reputable tour. Security personnel are present throughout operating hours.

Question 3

What is the best time of year to visit Giza to avoid extreme heat and crowds?

Accepted Answer

The best time to visit Giza is between October and April when temperatures are milder (20–25°C), and tourist crowds are thinner. Avoid summer (May–September) due to extreme heat (over 35°C). Peak season is December to January, book tickets early. Ramadan months may affect opening hours.

Question 4

Can I buy a combined ticket for the Pyramids, Sphinx, and nearby attractions in Giza?

Accepted Answer

Yes, multi-tiered entry tickets are sold at official pyramid gate kiosks. A basic ticket covers Giza Plateau access; additional fees apply for individual pyramid interiors and the Solar Boat Museum. There is no universal "pass," so pay separately for each attraction. Avoid touts—purchase only from official booths.
